Many consultants think that this is very easy to download. But, in reality, I asked number of times to many consultants, however, they have no clue how to download it. Hope this tip would surely be helpful. Indeed this very helpful But most of the time I have faced problem where is job run for large data and in comes with around say 20 pages as output.
So how can we download that? When I tried with this way long back its all scattered and untidy Do you have any idea how can we download large data from Batch Input. If you follow this blog, then you would be able to download any number of pages, without any scattering. In my Implementation project 2 years ago, did a good amount of roaming to find this out, finally to get a hint about it from a comment to a question in SCN,.
It does not really matter whether it is “Local File ” or “Excel File”. There are number of way to download them. Though this is small navigation tip, many consultants not aware to be reach this screen to download.
Once they reach this screen, they can download whatever be convenient format for them to download. Just to add to your document, SAP sometimes gives a extract error in the Local file mostly in case of Excel output which we extract in cases where there are many columns in a table or many enries to be downloaded.
Once we click to download, we cannot really restrict it to small chunks. If needs to be downloaded completely, after downloading if we do not really need any data, which can anyway be deleted from the downloaded file. Whether it is local file or excel does not really make any difference in the content, however, one format looks the better than the other.
Actually we had faced the issue while downloading the data from master table as a part of data extraction, we faced issue while downloading the table entries in a local file.
Sometimes, even one extra line was populated between 2 records in a excel sheet, thus we had to re-extract the data from the tables with less number of entries for extraction. May be this is different from the explained scenerio. Well I have already said in my earlier comments that whatever you write is worth reading and see I am not wrong.

What i have seen in SAP and in normal world, is, we don’t observe small things – sometime we even blindly follow instructions only like GPS and don’t see that another great option is sitting next to the button we click every day,. Very glad that you showed taught us the button which we see everyday in our routine, still never realize the importance.
